Only versions which belong the 2 latest major versions? WDYT? Keeping 2 last major versions would be my preference. Reasoning: We usually don't change a lot between major versions. But if we remove an object, we do not want it to be indexed rather quickly - but not immediately. And I doubt we will have such removal in two majore releases one after the other.
