@zozo123 With a new test key I could run the three things I could not measure on 2026-09-26. All of this is at 8a36d67954, on the default image: | Question | Result | |---|---| | `example_sandbox_toolset_islo.py` end to end | `1 passed in 16.28s` | | Does `internet_enabled=False` block DNS as well as TCP? | Yes. `getent hosts example.com` fails, a raw UDP query to 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.4.4 gets no answer, and TCP to 1.1.1.1:443 fails. The same script in a sandbox created with the internet on resolves and connects, so missing tools are not the reason. | | Does `pause_after_idle` pause a sandbox while a silent command runs? | Only when nothing calls the API. A bare `exec_in_sandbox` of `sleep 150` with `pause_after_idle=60` and no polling found the sandbox `paused` 105 s in, and `get_exec_result` afterwards answered `400 INVALID_REQUEST`, "exec result ... not found". Through the backend, which polls at least every 2 s, the same command exited 0 and the sandbox stayed `running`. | Resume keeps processes. A loop started in the background before a pause kept ticking after `auto_resume` woke the sandbox, with a gap for the paused time, and the files it had written were still there. So the default 600 s idle pause between tool calls freezes a background server rather than killing it. The sandbox unit suite passes at this head (358 passed; the 3 skips need the `modal` extra).
