The `check-for-inclusive-language` hook matches its English word list against raw bytes, so in UTF-8 any non-ASCII letter counts as a word boundary. German "Erhöhe" (raise) then matches `\bhe\b` — this failed static checks on #75137, and the contributor had to reword a correct translation to get past it. Translations mirror the English source strings, which remain checked, so scanning the other locales only produces false positives.
