 Review comment:
   IMHO I'm not convinced that we test the actual use case considering that we 
use an empty graph, an empty `Runnable` and `ExecutorServiceParallelExecutor` 
is not started. I would prefer that you test a high level pipeline with a dofn 
that sets a metric. And then use `ThreadLeakTracker` to detect the leak.
