We would need to stay on 0.27.x as long as camel-quarkus supports JDK 17,
that might be a couple of year at least.
We could probably expect to stay on 0.27.x as long as we don't discover a
bug or a CVE.
It's quite hard to predict when it will occur, could be tomorrow or in a
year.
The hyperfoil-maven-plugin is used when doing regression tests, for instance:
+ On the developer's local machine when doing a release (1h to ensure
actual performance non-regression)
+ On ci at each pull request (a few seconds to ensure the perf-regression
tool itself is not broken)
Also, note that by the time we move our minimum JDK baseline to version 21,
the hyperfoil-maven-plugin may well already requires JDK 24... and so on.
Let's take a bit of time to see what others think.
Is there anything else that could help us building an informed vote ?
