Aleksey Yeschenko commented on CASSANDRA-7902:
----------------------------------------------
I still strongly believe that we should not do global RR for LOCAL_* CL reads,
full stop. This is what users expect. See my old comment in CASSANDRA-6887
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-6887?focusedCommentId=14012348&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-14012348).
Doing that would also simplify ARE#getReadExecutor() greatly
In light of relatively recent CASSANDRA-8058/CASSANDRA-8819, I'd like to maybe
reconsider the conclusion of CASSANDRA-6887. CC [~slebresne] [~jbellis]

>
> There exists a case for LOCAL_* consistency levels where you really want them
> *local only*. This implies that you don't ever want to do cross-dc RR, but
> do for other levels.
