Yeah, over a year later I'm not sure this makes sense vs getting these from
collectd.
If there are specific metrics that we can add which help C* operators and
require OS metrics as part of the calculation then we should consider those.
One Idea might be to track other processes which may be running on the box
causing load. Also tracking the process size according to the OS which
includes all the off heap stuff.
