It's worth noting that the main body of this work is only for generating
specific patterns of data in a partition for the purposes of benchmarking, and
can be used in other scenarios (such as CASSANDRA-15367 and CASSANDRA-15511).
It would be nice to make one further addition, supporting simple patterns of
data, to see how these patterns affect allocation costs on merge. But the two
distributions provided should cover the two extremes.
