for AddColumnFamily I left the old code but for UpdateColumnFamily I did
CFMD.convertEmptyIndexNamesToDefaultNames which will check the status of the
column: old or new and set an appropriate name right before ThriftValidation
call in system_update_column_family. QP has it's own validation in CREATE_INDEX
case.
