Attached (v1-0001-CASSANDRA-2761-cleanup-nits.txt) is a patch to do a little
cleanup (clearer variable naming, some simplification of classpaths, etc),
basically stuff that set my OCD off and seemed better to get in *before* diving
into test running and dependency management.
