Is there a chance to cherry-pick this change to the 4.1 release as the feature
itself seems to be a valuable one for the end user experience? I have checked
the comments above as to why the feature is only targeted for 5.0, and not for
4.x, and have not been able to find a good technical answer for myself.
Is there a technical problem exist or just a product vision? If both are 'no',
I can prepare a PR for 4.1.
