Well, yes and no. We've agreed to merge contingent on making sure 
CASSANDRA-18673 is still in before the freeze. CASSANDRA-18275 is just more 
fuzz testing, and therefore was never a hard pre-freeze requirement. Willing to 
expand on that in Slack (where we've already discussed at some length) or here, 
if you'd like.
