Thanks all for the review and comments:
A. We discussed this offline iirc. Creating a new workflow would be great but
it means new configs throughout, a new workflow to maintain, etc. This is
outside the scope of this ticket imo as here the intention is to provide a
quick win to reduce CI. We have the chance here to give a quick escape route to
the community, while we are all busy on the 5.0 release, and then later on when
we revisit the pre-commit workflow perfect this one as well. Again my intention
in this ticket is to cash in the quick win.
B. Good catch. My bad!
C. Just trying to be cautious here. As we have in this Epic the intention to
revist pre-commit workflows we can always decide for sthg better later when
that day comes. Meanwhile 5.0 and trunk with the upcoming releases probably (my
perception) is where we'll get more bang for the money.
