CASSANDRA-19534 is a bug, it's not the same thing. We have _effectively_ been
in rc mode for months now (chasing that "last" rc blocker, again and again…).
Furthermore, we have defined our [release lifecycle
doc|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CASSANDRA/Release+Lifecycle] so
to avoid changes like this once beta1 is released.
Sam's argument above is the crux for me. If we see this as critical to do in
5.0.0 (and not 5.0.1) for 5.1/5.0 then let's explain that as the waiver.
