This discussion did start with, and include, the aspect of using `ea` versions
of Chronicle Queues, and a consensus there was to avoid it. So I can
appreciate the concerns/frustrations raised when this ticket is doing just that.

This jdk21 patch would then resolve CASSANDRA-18712. So it was a _question
covered_, but getting s390x arch working is not the same as jdk21 and
addressing CVEs.
While I'm uncomfortable with the use of `ea` versioned dependencies (and we
already have one present) the upgrade happening here addresses the far more
important advantage of java 21.
I remain unhappy with the use of `ea` deps, but for me it neither blocks jdk21
or changes our agreed consensus of moving away from (if not removing) Chronicle
Queues.
