Francisco Guerrero commented on CASSSIDECAR-187:
------------------------------------------------

Just to bring more clarity on this JIRA, Sidecar already supports running
in-jvm dtests with annotations using the {{@CassandraIntegration}} annotation.
The patch provides a new way to run in-jvm dtests which align with the way the
Cassandra Analytics project are running in-jvm dtests. This method offers more
flexibility when configuring the cluster, and allows reusing a single cluster
to run multiple tests. This allows integration tests to be reused for large
expensive testing reducing the overall runtime of the tests.

> dTests framework is an improved way provided by Cassandra to run integration
> tests. This Jira is about to add initial support for such tests, to unlock
> start migrating the current approach for integration testing to this
> approach, which is also aligned with how Analytics is performing integration
> tests.
