I'm not fond of having a yaml setting for that, it over-complicate things.
I do note however that we could decide to make the choice explicit, i.e.
removing 'BEGIN BATCH' altogether (again if we target 1.2, we can do that) and
only supporting either 'BEGIN ATOMIC BATCH' or 'BEGIN NON-ATOMIC BATCH'.
