Jonathan Ellis resolved CASSANDRA-4907.
---------------------------------------
Resolution: Not A Problem
We deliberate leave CFs that the cli (and cql3-ignorant clients in general)
can't deal with out of describe_keyspace. (See CASSANDRA-4377.)
> Cassandra cli doesn't recognize non-compact storage column families
> -------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: CASSANDRA-4907
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4907
> Project: Cassandra
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Core
> Affects Versions: 1.2.0 beta 1
> Reporter: Jeremy Hanna
>
> To reproduce, go to 'cqlsh -3' and enter:
> {code}
> create keyspace foo with replication = {'class': 'SimpleStrategy',
> 'replication_factor': 1};
> use foo;
> CREATE TABLE clicks (
> user_id text,
> time timestamp,
> url text,
> PRIMARY KEY (user_id, time)
> ) WITH COMPACT STORAGE;
> CREATE TABLE comments (
> article_id uuid,
> posted_at timestamp,
> author text,
> karma int,
> content text,
> PRIMARY KEY (article_id, posted_at)
> );
> {code}
> Then go to the CLI and do 'show keyspaces;' and there will be the foo
> keyspace and the clicks column family but not the comments column family.
