How small are you assuming this domain to be? what if there are thousands of accounts under that domain? is it ok for the domain admin to mess up that domain, as long as they haven't messed up anywhere else? Is there some mailing list thread that has a load of users complaining about this? It seems like this has become a point of principle, that a change with so little benefit is taking up so much oxygen.
