We are trying to setup a new cluster with 4.16 and it will be a greate
enhancement to select the snapshots location. Now in previous
versions of ACS we have 2 secondary storages and the location of snapshots
and templates are random, in fact, we have the problem that in 1 secondary
storage there isnt enough space and ACS tries to save snapshots there.
We think that you can setup secondary storages for different porpuses. So,
for example, we can setup one or more exclusive secondary
storage for snapshots and others for templaes and isos.
Thinking on scale up Cloudstack with lots of VM, we must think we need to
have serveral secondary storages for snapshots and select the snapshot location
for each VM because we could have remotes secondaries storages location to copy
snaphosts to other Datacenter (If we have a good cross connect).
Last, maybe it will be necesary to make a warning about secondary storage
capacity commited to place snapshots there or not.
