   In my VM settings I cannot see the rootDiskController setting option.
   My VM OS type is "Other PV Virtio-SCSI (64-bit)" and I remember that this 
implies that rootDiskController is set to scsi.
   I chose this OS type because in this way the QEMU-KVM disk controller is set 
to virtio-scsi which supports disk trimming (i.e. Linux fstrim command inside 
the guest will actually trim the host disk).
