Scripts work on scala 2.12.17, which is what I have installed now. I ran the scripts, and the resulting daffodil builds and tests without error. The CI did fail on two of the configurations, but I think that is spurious. I think we should start planning for when to merge this. We need to give people a chance to settle any large changes that modify numerous files.
