Thanks for flagging this, @FrankChen021. Yes, this matches the intent of #20633. The existence check should use the full projection metadata, while projection matching should remain restricted to servable projections. I agree that the current behavior is incorrect. I'll prepare a focused follow-up fix and add regression tests for missing, unservable and incompatible projections.
