Updates `com.github.fppt:jedis-mock` from 1.1.19 to 1.1.20

releases.

1.1.20

This release adds Redis Functions and read-only
scripting (
EVAL_RO
,
EVALSHA_RO
,

FCALL_RO
, function flags), models unkillable scripts and

SHUTDOWN NOSAVE
, validates command arity before
dispatch for every command, and fixes several long-standing bugs
around key TTLs and
WATCH
. Thank you again to <a
href="https://github.com/RafeArnold";>
@RafeArnold
, who
contributed a large part of this release!

🚀 New commands

<a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/function/";>
FUNCTION

and <a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/fcall/";>
FCALL
(<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/854";>#854) — load
and call Lua function libraries.
FUNCTION
DUMP
/
RESTORE
are not yet supported.

<a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/eval_ro/";>
EVAL_RO
,
<a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/evalsha_ro/";>
EVALSHA_RO

and <a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/fcall_ro/";>
FCALL_RO

(<a href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/874";>#874) —
run a script in read-only mode. A write command via
redis.call
is
refused with
ERR Write commands are not allowed from read-only
scripts.
; via
redis.pcall
it comes back as an error table.
Unknown-command and arity errors still take precedence, as on a real server.

FCALL_RO
additionally requires the function to carry the

no-writes
flag.

<a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/shutdown/";>
SHUTDOWN

(<a href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/872";>#872) —

SHUTDOWN NOSAVE
stops the whole
RedisServer
as real
Redis does: every connection is closed without a reply, the port is released,
and afterwards
isRunning()
is
false
and

start()
may be called again. Option validation (
SAVE
,

NOSAVE
,
ABORT
,
ERR syntax error
,
rejection inside
MULTI
) matches the real server.

📜 Scripting

Function flags are honoured (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/874";>#874).

redis.register_function
used to parse and ignore its

flags
table.
no-writes
,
allow-oom
,

allow-stale
,
no-cluster
and

allow-cross-slot-keys
are now accepted, validated (
ERR
unknown flag given
) and reported by
FUNCTION LIST
in
canonical order. Only
no-writes
changes behaviour: such functions
run read-only even under plain
FCALL
.

Scripts that have written data cannot be killed (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/872";>#872). Once a
timed-out script has dispatched a write command,
SCRIPT KILL
/

FUNCTION KILL
reply
UNKILLABLE Sorry the script already
executed write commands against the dataset. ...
and the server stays

BUSY
until the script ends —
SHUTDOWN NOSAVE
is the
only way out, exactly as in real Redis. The mock used to kill every script.

SCRIPT KILL
can no longer be caught from inside the
script (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/872";>#872). A kill
wrapped in
redis.pcall(...)
could previously be swallowed and the
script would run to completion.

Error locations for tail calls (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/874";>#874).

return redis.call(...)
compiles to a Lua tail call, so errors
raised there used to be reported on line 1; they now carry the correct

user_script:N
/
user_function:N
location, making the
error text identical to Redis.

FCALL
restores the selected database after
the function returns, as
EVAL
already did (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/874";>#874).

🐞 Bug fixes

Write commands no longer wipe a key's TTL (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/857";>#857).

SETBIT
,
PFADD
, list and set pushes,

APPEND
,
INCR
/
DECR
and others used to
reset the expiration of the key they modified; on a real server it is
preserved.

Expiration changes now invalidate
WATCH

(<a href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/856";>#856, <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/858";>#858).

EXPIREAT
,
PERSIST
and the hash field-TTL commands
(
HEXPIRE
,
HEXPIREAT
,
HPERSIST
, …) now
abort a transaction watching the key, and only when they actually change the
TTL.

Wrong argument count is rejected before dispatch, on every
path (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/868";>#868, <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/870";>#870). Inside

MULTI
, a command with the wrong number of arguments used to be
queued anyway; real Redis rejects it up front. More generally, arity was
checked only after the operation was constructed, so commands that parse their
parameters in the constructor (
BZPOPMAX
,
LREM
,

COPY
, …) threw
IndexOutOfBoundsException
instead,
about a third of the commands declared no bounds at all, and six
(
SADD
,
INCRBY
,
DECRBY
,

INCRBYFLOAT
,
SETEX
,
PSETEX
) declared
wrong ones. Every command now replies
ERR wrong number of arguments for
'<cmd>' command
on plain dispatch, inside
MULTI
, and
from
r
edis.call
/
redis.pcall
.

RedisServer.stop()
waits for a running script to
terminate (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/873";>#873). It
used to return as soon as the sockets were closed, so a server restarted
immediately after
stop()
could still answer
BUSY
from
the previous script, and a plain
stop()
with an infinite script
left it spinning forever. The stop/restart path was also hardened against a
number of races found in review: concurrent stops, connections accepted while
stopping, commands of closed clients resuming against a restarted server.
Calling
stop()
or
start()
from inside a

RedisCommandInterceptor
of the same server now throws

IllegalStateException
instead of deadlocking; use

RedisClient.shutdownServer()
there instead.

🛠 Internals

Command arity and read-only flag are declared on

@RedisCommand
(<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/870";>#870), in
Redis' own terms:
arity
is the value
COMMAND INFO

reports,
readOnly = false
marks commands with the

write
flag. All 179 commands are annotated with the Redis 8.0
values;
minArgs()
/
maxArgs()
are gone.

Constructor injection is resolved at compile time from parameter types — an
unsupported parameter type is now a javac error rather than a runtime exception
— and no reflection remains on the request path.

 Updates `org.tukaani:xz` from 1.9 to 1.12

changelog.

1.12 (2026-03-01)

Fix ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException in the LZMA/LZMA2 encoder on
 x86-64 and ARM64 when running on Java 9 or newer. The affected
 code isn't used on Java 8. The bug is present in versions 1.10
 and 1.11. If one cannot upgrade, one should set the property

org.tukaani.xz.MatchLengthFinder=Basic
to disable the affected
 code path.

Fix ArrayCache usage in LZMAInputStream. If ArrayCache was enabled,
 decompression was likely to fail quickly when the cache returns a
 cached array. ArrayCache is disabled by default.

The binaries of 1.12 in the Maven Central require Java 8 and
 contain optimized classes for Java >= 9 as multi-release JAR.
 They were built with OpenJDK 21.0.10 on GNU/Linux and can be
 reproduced using the following command:

SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=1772370000 TZ=UTC0 ant maven

1.11 (2025-11-19)

Fix a data corruption bug when encoding with the rarely-used option

LZMA2Options.MODE_UNCOMPRESSED
. To trigger the bug, a

write

 call must cross an offset that is a multiple of 65536 bytes.
 For example, one
write
of 70000 bytes or two
write

calls of
 50000 bytes each would trigger the bug. The bug isn't triggered
 if there are ten
write
calls of 8192 bytes each followed by one
 123-byte
write
.

If encoding to a .xz file, a decoder would catch the issue because
 the integrity check wouldn't match.

The binaries of 1.11 in the Maven Central require Java 8 and
 contain optimized classes for Java >= 9 as multi-release JAR.
 They were built with OpenJDK 21.0.9 on GNU/Linux and can be
 reproduced using the following command:

SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=1763575020 TZ=UTC0 ant maven

1.10 (2024-07-29)

Licensing change: From version 1.10 onwards, XZ for Java is under
 the BSD Zero Clause License (0BSD). 1.9 and older are in the
 public domain and obviously remain so; the change only affects
 the new releases.

changelog.

8.5.19

Fixed BigArrays.getAndIncrement() for atomic big arrays, which was
 actually decrementing.

Fixed skip() for concatenated iterators, which could leave the iterator
 positioned on an exhausted component.

Fixed skip() for concatenated spliterators, which could throw an
 ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.

Fixed removal from the entry set of tree-map submaps, which ignored the
 submap range and the entry value.

Fixed deserialization of open-addressing big hash sets with load factor
 1, which could produce a table without free entries.

Fixed decoding of lengths greater than or equal to 2^15 in short
 front-coded lists.

Fixed bounds checking in getElements() for immutable-list sublists.

Fixed changed(int) for array-based indirect priority queues, which could
 leave a stale cached minimum.

binarySearch() for floats and doubles is now consistent with the sorting
 order (-0 less than 0, NaN greatest).

Fixed integer overflow in trySplit() for wide int interval
spliterators.

Fixed integer overflow in skip() and back() for int interval iterators
 near the extremal values.

Fixed file-descriptor leaks in the File-based BinIO loaders: the byte
 loadBytes(File...) methods leaked on every call, and the multi-byte
 loaders leaked on the end-of-file error path.

Fixed serialization of big-array big lists with more than 2^31
elements.

Fixed integer overflow in the swap phase of big-array sorting for more
 than 2^31 elements.

The expected-size argument of the big hash set constructor is now
 correctly checked for negativity.

Fixed a garbled index in an exception message of abstract-list
sublists.

Fixed the upper-bound symbol in the out-of-range exception messages of
 tree-map and tree-set submaps and subsets.

 Updates `io.grpc:grpc-bom` from 1.84.2 to 1.85.0
 <details>

Release notes

Sourced from <a
href="https://github.com/grpc/grpc-java/releases";>io.grpc:grpc-bom's
releases.

v1.85.0

gRPC Java 1.85.0 Release Notes

API Changes

netty: Support never-indexed metadata keys (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/12976";>#12976)
(e9a8c2bf83). High-cardinality metadata values provide little compression
benefit and can churn the server's dynamic HPACK table. Adds

NettyChannelBuilder.neverIndexMetadataKey()
and

neverIndexMetadataKeys(
) so callers can mark selected outbound
metadata keys for HPACK's never-indexed literal representation.

binder: Add Context-based
hasPermissions()
to

SecurityPolicies
and deprecate the
PackageManager

version.

Behavior Changes

xds: allow wildcard listener port in LDS (5fda0c7c35). It now accepts a
port of 0 in the LDS listener address as matching any port.

Bug Fixes

xds: Make RawMessageClientInterceptor conditional on ext_proc flags (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/13015";>#13015)
(e58489ffa0). Fixes a bug that caused empty payloads on retry attempts for
regular xDS channels.

core: Reset configSelector on realChannel while entering IDLE state (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/12832";>#12832)
(fc4314419d). Because of a bug in the config selector, when ManagedChannel
entered IDLE state due to resource deletion on the xDS control plane, the
channel stayed stuck in IDLE state even after the resource came back online and
a new rpc was executed.

core: Gracefully handle GOAWAY frames with unrecognized error codes (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/13035";>#13035)
(b3ae8010c9). When a server or proxy sent a GOAWAY with an unrecognized HTTP/2
error code, such as 70007 from Apache httpd, Netty transport clients logged

NullPointerException: Http2Error cannot be null for GOAWAY
and
RPCs could hang until their deadline. Such codes are now treated as
INTERNAL_ERROR, so the transport shuts down cleanly.

Improvements

netty: make hostname verification configurable (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/13002";>#13002)
(2858db2862). This configures HTTPS endpoint identification in GrpcSslContexts
and updates ClientTlsHandler to preserve an explicit empty-string opt-out. A
null algorithm still falls back to HTTPS, retaining hostname verification for
custom contexts that do not select an algorithm.

bazel: Adopt proto_lang_toolchain for java_grpc_library() (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/12994";>#12994)
(c9ee3f8a79).
java_grpc_library
and

java_lite_grpc_library
now invoke protoc through Protobuf's

proto_lang_toolchain
instead of always using

@com_google_protobuf//:protoc
. They now use the same protoc and
protoc options as
java_proto_library
.

New Features

api: Implement custom events framework in gRPC-Java server (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/12980";>#12980)
(dd00881a6e). This adds triggerEvent/onEvent APIs to
ServerCall

and
ServerCall.Listener
. This allows events to be triggered on the

ServerCall
and be delivered as a listener callback.

Dependencies

Upgrade protobuf for bazel from 36.0 to 36.0.bcr.1 (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/13013";>#13013)
(9799887b74)

netty: Upgrade Netty to 4.2.17 (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/13036";>#13036)
(61b910bb43). netty-tcnative remains at 2.0.81.

Documentation

stub: Clarify flow control javadoc (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/grpc/grpc-java/issues/12977";>#12977)
(893eb70807)
