himanshug opened a new issue #8626: IntermediaryDataManager starts even when it doesn't need to URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-druid/issues/8626 Noticed that it runs in single phase parallel indexing task and it doesn't need to. No major harm is done except it creates noise in the logs and running a thread.
