I think this is great, any reason why you wouldn't start with internal druid services talking to each other using grpc? I think the internal communication could benefit quite a bit here. Things like retry logic between brokers and historicals could be made much easier and resilient and you have a true streaming protocol. Is this something that you would consider later?
