Regarding Kinesis sequence numbers and Kafka offsets, we decided to use Kafka terminology to encompass both sequence numbers and offsets. @vogievetsky please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the direction was to use Kafka terms when talking about general streaming ingestion concepts in topics that cover both streaming ingestion platforms?
