   For me, setting the `symbol: ['none', 'none']` doesn't remove the arrow. 
Instead it makes the start of the symbol line a rectangle.

   If I just set `symbol: "none"` then the beginning of the line disappears (no 
rectangle, no circle), but the arrow stays there. From the documentation of 
echarts I don't see how to remove the arrow.
