Reproduced on **echarts.apache.org** (ECharts v5.x, 2026-08-31, Chrome):
1. Create a line chart with two `markLine` entries:
- First: `z2: 100`, red solid line, label "should be ON TOP".
- Second: `z2: 5`, blue dashed line, label "should be BEHIND".
- Both labels at `position: 'insideStart'` so they overlap at the same
point.
2. The `z2: 5` label (declared second) renders **on top of** the `z2: 100`
label (declared first).
**Expected:** higher `z2` renders in front regardless of declaration order.
**Actual:** the last-declared markLine label wins — `z2` is effectively
ignored for relative ordering between sibling markLine labels.
This is consistent with the root cause Dhevenddra described: `doUpdateZ`
threads a running `maxZ2` across sibling groups rather than resetting per
markLine, so the final group's z2 contaminates earlier labels.
