The PR now keeps only the four `core:*Test` lanes, `CoreBackend`, `TestCoreLaneMembership` and the `core-test` jobs: +727 across 13 files. Removed: the design doc, the Python identity tool with its tests and fixtures, the `core-test-contract` job, `coreTestLaneOf`, the annotation self-test and Gradle lines that restated defaults; the shell scripts belonged to #13495 and left with the rebase. `TestCoreLaneMembership` still fails the unit lane when a Docker-tagged class has no backend lane. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
