This issue appears to already be resolved on `main` by #13059 (commit [`b6b0f24f9`](https://github.com/apache/gravitino/commit/b6b0f24f9af095950f7d2bd6ebdadd688032d249), merged under duplicate issue #12727): - `ParameterUtil.extractNameIdentifierFromParameters` now catches `IllegalArgumentException` from `MetadataObject.Type.valueOf(...)` and throws `IllegalMetadataObjectException`: [`server/src/main/java/org/apache/gravitino/server/web/filter/ParameterUtil.java#L86-L92`](https://github.com/apache/gravitino/blob/8769b54b86c8699e2f806e2da96f1800ab6f9ceb/server/src/main/java/org/apache/gravitino/server/web/filter/ParameterUtil.java#L86-L92) - `GravitinoInterceptionService` handles `IllegalMetadataObjectException` and returns HTTP 400 (`ErrorResponse.illegalArguments`) instead of HTTP 500, with test coverage in `TestGravitinoInterceptionService` and `InvalidMetadataObjectTypeAuthorizationIT`. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
