Hi — I'd like to help with this one if it's still open. I see @pithecuse527 asked to take it in October and @mchades checked in on progress last week; I don't want to step on work in flight, so if it's still claimed, please ignore this. If it has freed up, I'm happy to pick it up. Briefly on background: I build Argus, an open-source policy gateway for LLM traffic, so policy operations are my home ground. I've mapped the Java client's policy operations (GenericPolicy / MetadataObjectPolicyOperations) against the Python client's tag implementation, which looks like the closest structural template (DTOs, create/update/associate requests and responses, metadata-object operations, unit tests). I'd follow that shape and keep the change in small pieces — API and DTOs first, then client operations with tests.
