### Version main branch ### Describe what's wrong A first load of an unregistered external table reads source metadata before implicit import, then reads it again while holding the schema-level write lock. Slow connector metadata calls serialize unrelated sibling operations and double the source work for that cold load. ### Error message and/or stacktrace A slow native table load blocks unrelated table work in the same schema even though those tables have independent names; one cold load invokes the source table loader twice. ### How to reproduce 1. Create two native tables in an external catalog without importing them into Gravitino. 2. Pause the source metadata load of the first table using a connector barrier. 3. Concurrently load or modify its sibling. 4. Count source loads and observe the lock scope. ### Additional context Import the schema first, then read/register the table under its own write lock.
