Nick Couchman commented on GUACAMOLE-57:

Probably need to have a robust discussion on whether or not this is "in-scope"
for Guacamole.

As Mike pointed out on the GUACAMOLE-452 issue, Guacamole is a protocol for
handling remote displays and sending those to a web browser. Rendering
HTTP/HTTPS pages is more of a SSL VPN/Proxy issue, not necessarily remote
display.

I'm not sure this would actually be possible to implement in the way that most
of the requestors are asking for it - maybe so, but turning the web pages into
the Guacamole (image/media) representation, presenting them to the user, and
then allowing the user to still interact with the web pages (click links,
control media, etc.) seems like it might not be quite as doable as everyone
expects just due to the nature of the Guacamole protocol.

I think that what is really being asked for here is a browser-based SSL VPN
that incorporates Guacamole for all of the remote display traffic, and then
adds the things like (reverse) proxy support.

> I would love to see a new connection type "HTTP/HTTPS" Kind of like a web
> proxy.
> I use this tool for remote administration. Being able to access local only
> Admin Web pages would make this very useful.
> Some firewalls have web only management, Intranets, Local web apps, could all
> be accessed through this tool.
> I think this would be a killer addition.
> By the way this is an amazing program thanks for all the hard work on this
> project.
