Nick Couchman commented on GUACAMOLE-57:
----------------------------------------
{quote}
For HTTP/HTTPS, I think (but may be wrong) that the client should use the
browser engine and guacd should then act as a basic transparent proxy used for
tunnelling packets between the guacamole client and the target system.
{quote}
Which, to Mike's point, puts this outside the scope of Guacamole, at the very
least for guacd. guacd is specifically designed to translate between the
Guacamole protocol and the back-end display protocols. There are other pieces
of software out there that are already designed to do the job of transparently
proxying HTTP(S) traffic - adding that functionality to guacd seems to make it
into something other than "guacd" :-).
> New connection type "HTTP/HTTPS"

> Priority: Trivial
>
> I would love to see a new connection type "HTTP/HTTPS" Kind of like a web
> proxy.
> I use this tool for remote administration. Being able to access local only
> Admin Web pages would make this very useful.
> Some firewalls have web only management, Intranets, Local web apps, could all
> be accessed through this tool.
> I think this would be a killer addition.
> By the way this is an amazing program thanks for all the hard work on this
> project.
