Review Comment:
   Yeah, there could be a thread leak, async compaction use a single thread 
executor to do the compaction stuff and this thread could not be closed 
properly. This async compaction thread is designed for not blocking checkpoint 
when it is used in streaming pipeline mode.
   May I ask what safety concern you are referring to?
