Review Comment:
Worth covering here rather than as a follow-up, because it is not only the
`InternalSchemaCache` lookup: `DefaultSource.resolveBaseFileOnlyRelation` hands
back the `BaseFileOnlyRelation` itself only when `hasSchemaOnRead` and falls
back to `toHadoopFsRelation` otherwise, so schema-on-read is the only
production shape in which the `buildScan` path that `legacyRelationDf` drives
is actually taken. It also flips
`shouldExtractPartitionValuesFromPartitionPath` (defined as
`internalSchemaOpt.isEmpty`), which is the only way the shims get constructed
with `shouldAppendPartitionValues = false` - so one schema-on-read case reaches
three branches this suite otherwise never touches.
