This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-6899). **Findings: not done, and the linked PR is closed without merging.** PR #9798 (`[HUDI-6899] Fix hive read schema evolution table with partition field`) is **closed and unmerged**, so nothing landed from it. No commit on `master` references HUDI-6899 either. The `status:pr-available` label is therefore misleading - it implies a patch awaiting review when there is none - and is worth removing.
