This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-6970). **Findings: the linked PR has not merged; keeping this open.** PR #9905 (`[HUDI-6970] Stream read allows skipping archived commits`) is still **open and unmerged**, so nothing has landed.
