This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-6895). **Findings: the linked PR has not merged; keeping this open.** PR #9794 (`[HUDI-6895] Change default timeline timezone from local to UTC`) is still **open and unmerged**, so nothing has landed.
