This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage and is being closed as stale. The whole description is *"Add benchmark code to the repo to be reused"* - no operation to benchmark, no baseline, no harness design. Checking the current code, `org.openjdk.jmh` appears nowhere in the repository, so nothing was ever built here, and the JIRA has not moved since 2022-08-20. A JMH suite would still be welcome.
