voonhous opened a new pull request, #20421: URL: https://github.com/apache/hudi/pull/20421
### Describe the issue this Pull Request addresses `validate-pr` and `validate-source` take seconds to a minute each, yet each spins up its own runner on every PR event. With GitHub Actions queues long across the apache org, fewer runners per PR helps. Depends on #<A> merging first. ### Summary and Changelog Fold the PR metadata steps into the `validate-source` job and delete `pr_validation.yml`. - The metadata steps (description, title, Claude co-author) skip on push and on `release-*` PRs, matching the old `pr_validation.yml` triggers. - Every step runs even when an earlier one fails, so one run reports every problem; the failed step's name says which check it was. - `edited` added to the trigger types, so title or description edits re-run the job. An edit now also re-runs the source checks (about a minute). - Workflow renamed to `Validation`; README updated. ### Impact One fewer GitHub Actions runner per PR event. No change to what is checked. ### Risk Level low. The copied steps are unchanged apart from their `if:` conditions. ### Documentation Update none ### Contributor's checklist - [x] Read through [contributor's guide](https://hudi.apache.org/contribute/how-to-contribute) - [x] Enough context is provided in the sections above - [ ] Adequate tests were added if applicable -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
