As discussed on discord, we've decided to go a different direction with compression - we'd like to implement it at the batch level rather than per-message,this should give us better compression ratios and less overhead. That said, the user headers usage pattern here is really nice and could be moved to examples/rust. would you be interested in extracting just that part into a smaller PR showing how to use custom headers? (this compression is nice bonus tbh) - making it simpler would be good enough, like 1 compression algo, etc. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
