FenjuFu opened a new pull request, #4357: URL: https://github.com/apache/iggy/pull/4357
Closes #4328. Add `IggyClient.delete_segments(stream_id, topic_id, partition_id, segments_count)`, following the existing `delete_partitions` binding with the additional `partition_id` argument. Awaiting the method returns Python `None`. The generated type declaration matches this signature. The new segment tests cover deleting the oldest sealed segment, retaining the active segment, the committed consumer-offset barrier, a zero count, missing targets, invalid identifiers and integer bounds, and topic-scoped permissions. Parameter expansion produces 14 cases. Validation: [fork CI run](https://github.com/FenjuFu/iggy/actions/runs/36692281742) passed `prek`, the repository's Python lint task (formatting, Ruff, Pyrefly, Clippy, and Rust unit tests), and the Python integration suite against a real Iggy server: 852 passed, 1 xfailed. All 14 segment cases passed. The earlier `()` return was corrected to an explicit Python `None` and verified by the return-value assertions. Local build and integration tests have not been run: this Windows machine lacks the required build tools and a usable local Linux/container environment. The validation above ran on GitHub Actions. The `ci-python-delete-segments` workflow changes are excluded. The existing return-value inconsistencies tracked in #4356 are outside this PR. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
