   Hey @jomarko,
   
   It is up-to-date. The edit mode is the next step. We need a readonly editor 
integrated with the text editor before moving forward with an edit mode. The 
plan is to replace the J2CL canvas we are currently using and then add editing 
capabilities on top of it.
   Despite of having the edit mode disabled initially, I thoght it would be a 
good idea to preserve the palette and other overlays as a good starting point 
for the edit mode future developments. However, as you can see in the history 
of this PR, I was asked to remove it because it is not something we would be 
using out of the box and at this point it is not completely clear how it should 
work. We still have to mature the requirements and UX and also figure out how 
it would go along with the text editor. 
   It shouldn't be hard to put it back following the DMN footprints when the 
time comes. Anyway, we need to move forward with this initial PR to get means 
to collaborate and get other things going such as an edit mode MVP.
