It turns out that OS_MEMPOOL_POISON causes lots of timing issues, as one might expect. My test program has this enabled, and I think this gets me working up to 500 bytes. I'll now increase and continue to test. Pushed updates to my test project, which correctly displays 500bytes on rx side now.
