Well, I was also thinking about that one, as for projects it could be solved by 
changing the position of the project factory.

For the Global Gradle Settings panel I could add some warning that it won't 
have any real effect. But then the new project wizards won't be really easy 
also the data loader on gradle files (tough they have a position attribute, 
almost no one uses that).

So that definitely requires a more work than imagined and the result might be 
fragile.

Right now probably the best would be to create a separate kit for 'Groovy + 
Gradle' that depends on the groovy.kit and gradle.kit so disabling the 
gradle.kit wouldn't mean disabling Groovy as well.

As of the IllegalStateException, that's probably a bug which shall be resolved.
