Craig H commented on NETBEANS-5133:
-----------------------------------
Unknown as I am still running via a shell script from within an Automator app.
I unpacked the original app into plain folders so no longer have the 'app'
version.
Another issue is that JDK 15 deprecated functions needed to install some old
plug-ins. Had to change .conf to stay at JDK 11.
Quite frankly, I think NB is dead. The lack of Python support (one of the most
popular languages in the world) is a deal breaker.

> When running as a normal user, if you click on Netbeans->Preferences the
> window will open, shake, freeze and not let you do anything. The same thing
> happens with the Tools->Plugins. Running as super user it works perfectly.
> Could it be trying to pop up an authentication window that never shows up?
