Consistency with filters on other tables:
- Summary (Processors, Input Ports, Output Ports, Remote Process Groups,
Connections, Process Groups)
- Counters
- Provenance
- Templates
- Users
- New Controller Service
- New Reporting Task
This would be a much bigger change. Additionally, it would mean that we need to
consider every column when performing the filter. This could affect performance
for tables that have many columns (and many rows (like the Provenance table)).
I also like allowing the user the ability to focus their filter criteria.
Instead, for the new Processor/Controller Service/Reporting Task Dialogs, how
about adding an third option for 'by all fields' and having it be default?
