Joe Skora commented on NIFI-1300:
---------------------------------

[~joewitt], what is the proper response when errors occur?

Looking at the {{PutXxx}} processors, the response for framework errors seems
consistent: yield, penalize the flowfile, and transfer the flowfile to
failure. But the responses for external service errors varies.

> PutJMS should fail flowfile on commit exception and penalize flowfiles routed
> to failure.

> PutJMS fails the flowfile if an exception occurs during message send, but
> rollsback if an exception occurs during commit. It should fail in both cases
> and it should penalize the flowfile for either failure.
